The Cyprus Men’s National Team concluded its 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a defeat. In the match held at Alphamega Stadium in Limassol, Cyprus lost 2–0 to Austria.
Both Austrian goals were scored by Arnautović in the 18th minute (penalty) and the 55th minute.
Cyprus finished the competition with 8 points, while Austria stands at 18 points and will face Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday.
The match was attended by 7,000 spectators.
